Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at TravelCenters of America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results to develop a repair plan and communicate it to the Service Advisor
  • Repair malfunctioning parts and other mechanical or electrical equipment, ensuring safe and effective completion of repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and industry standards
  • Recommend additional services to customers during the inspection review process
  • Ensure the safety of both customers and employees

Requirements

  • A dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and ability to work well with others
  • High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of an acceptable trade school or manufacturer's technical school, or previous mechanic experience
  • Willingness to expand professional knowledge through education and training programs
  • Ability to work unsupervised and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Meet the physical demands of the job with or without accommodation
