Job Summary

At Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the North Campus Residential Treatment Programs. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing intermediate care and treatment to clients, managing medications, and administering injections.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate clients, obtaining and reviewing pertinent medical data
Collect vital signs and specimens, monitoring clients' response to treatment
Manage, sort, and prepare medications for distribution to patients
Administer injections, immunizations, and medications with training and supervision
Draw venous blood, finger stick, urine, and other routine laboratory work
Consult with physicians, case managers, team members, and pharmacies on new orders, changes, preauthorizations, and lab results
Prepare and maintain patient charts, logs, and records
Provide crisis intervention services as necessary

Requirements

Current LPN license from the Virginia Board of Nursing
Graduation from a State-accredited program of practical nurse education
Moderate experience as a practical nurse in a behavioral health setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
CPR certification
