Job Description

The Asian American Federation is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Compliance Specialist to oversee grants and contracts administration. This hybrid role will be based in the Wall Street office, requiring two days of on-site work per week.

Founded in 1989, the Asian American Federation (AAF) advocates for better policies, services, and funding that lead to more justice and opportunity for Asian immigrants. As an umbrella leadership organization, we represent 70 community-based organizations serving 1.5 million Asian New Yorkers.

About the Opportunity

The Procurement and Compliance Specialist will manage AAF's contracts with city and state agencies, as well as grant awards from private funders. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate intricate, fast-paced work. The ideal candidate has at least four years of experience navigating government contracting processes, including financial reports and budgeting.

Responsibilities
  • Streamline the execution of multiple city and state contracts, ensuring timely expenditures and submission of budget modifications.
  • Oversee and administer the sub-granting process for nearly 100 subgrantees, ensuring timely completion of MOUs, work scopes, and budgets.
  • Prepare requested documentation for government contract site visits and audits, serving as a point person for all communications.
  • Timely close-out, renew, or extend all grants and contracts, particularly for sub-granted awards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience with program management and/or grants and contracts administration, including financial report management.
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory.
Preferences
  • Experience with New York State and City contracts.
  • Understanding of financial principles and basic QuickBooks knowledge.
Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $87,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits include generous paid time off, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 403(b) plan.
