Job Title: Travel Contract Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Travel Contract Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

About the Role:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, working closely with the healthcare team to provide seamless care.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Minimum three years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Active unencumbered Texas RN state license
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
