Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Representative to join our team at Virginia Hospital Center. As a Patient Care Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and tests
  • Register patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and verify patient identities
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
  • Process and manage patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and insurance claims
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs)
