Position Summary:
We are looking for candidates with over 5 years of experience as an Engineer or Project Engineer, particularly those experienced in heavy construction projects, including highways, bridges, deep foundations, water treatment facilities, wastewater plants, industrial electrical systems, marine construction, and industrial facilities. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong initiative, exceptional planning and problem-solving skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and a steadfast commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, coordinate, submit, and track all project-related documentation.
- Conduct construction design tasks, including creating form/pour drawings, major pick plans, and layouts for piping, equipment, and conduits.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other geographical data to facilitate project planning.
- Oversee project costs and performance in collaboration with field personnel to ensure successful outcomes.
- Generate and manage job cost reports for all assigned projects.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Track and submit claims as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing schedules and priorities.
- Strong understanding of industry best practices, OSHA regulations, equipment, and quality assurance/control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel locally as required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification is a plus.
- Experience in marine construction is advantageous.
