The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on location and experience.

Job Description

We are seeking an Architectural Design Assistant to join our project teams. In this role, you will support the development of design documents, apply standard architectural techniques, and collaborate with other team members as designated.

Responsibilities include:

  • Modifying or creating implementation documents using standard architectural techniques, collaborative design computations, and procedures assigned under direction.
  • Performing routine architectural assignments, which may involve some design responsibility collaborating with other team members.
  • Assignments may include higher-level work for training/development purposes.
  • Attending on-site visits, field reviews, and client and/or project meetings as appropriate.
  • Assisting in preparing proposals, presentations, schedules, and processing implementation documentation and samples.
  • Participating in communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to incorporate information into project requirements.
  • Participating in team meetings to discuss project issues, design and technical issues, and coordination with other disciplines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An accredited professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Be on the path to Architectural Registration.
  • Typically 0-3 years of experience in the field.
  • Sustainable design accreditation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D modeling is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally both verbally and in writing.
