Job Title: Critical Care Surgical Nurse Specialist

About the Role:

Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Critical Care Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced RN to work in a dynamic environment and make a real difference in patient care.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing patient care during surgical procedures. They will handle a variety of patient types, including Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General Surgery, Podiatry, and ENT. The ideal candidate will have Pre and Post Recovery care experience with some ICU level patient support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage patient care during surgical procedures
  • Handle a variety of patient types, including Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General Surgery, Podiatry, and ENT
  • Provide Pre and Post Recovery care with some ICU level patient support
  • Maintain appropriate patient ratios: OR 1:1, Pre-Op 1:2, PACU Phase I 1:1 or 1:2, Phase II 1:2-3 based on acuity
  • Utilize Epic charting systems; training provided if needed
  • Collaborate with the surgical team, including RN/First Assist/Surg Tech, Nurse Clinician, Service Line Lead, and other support staff
  • Serve as an assisting hand when needed in PreOp/PACU/Floor areas
  • Participate in rotating weekend shifts and on-call duties as outlined by departmental needs
  • Attend one week of orientation upon commencement of role
  • Comply with holiday work expectations, covering at least 2 out of 4 major holidays

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of OR Level 1 or 2 trauma experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing approved
  • BLS, ACLS certifications
  • Ortho-Trauma (ORIF, Ex fix, Amputations), Neuro (Craniotomy, Spinal), General Surgery, Robotics (Davinci XI) experience
  • Surgical experience in a tertiary care center
  • Pre-Op/PACU skills, including ICU level care
