Position Overview:

The Department of Medicine at National Jewish Health is in search of enthusiastic and board-certified/board-eligible Rheumatologists with a primary emphasis on clinical rheumatology to enhance our expanding Division.

About the Division:

Our Division currently comprises four Rheumatologists and a dedicated Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner, addressing a comprehensive range of rheumatic diseases. Faculty members collaborate closely with leading pulmonologists to assess and manage pulmonary disorders associated with connective tissue diseases, including interstitial lung disease, vasculitis, and non-tuberculous mycobacterial disease.

Facilities and Resources:

The Division is equipped with in-house infusion centers, physical therapy services, musculoskeletal ultrasound capabilities, and a dedicated bone health clinic. We provide unrestricted access to a comprehensive Clinical Research Enterprise that supports various research endeavors, including NIH-sponsored, industry-sponsored, and investigator-initiated studies, along with an Institutional Biospecimen Bank and Research Informatics Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outpatient clinical care and assist in the daily operations of the infusion centers.
  • Engage in teaching residents and fellows, contributing to all academic aspects of the Division.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Rheumatology with a strong dedication to clinical practice.
  • Eligibility for a Colorado medical license.
  • A minimum of three peer-reviewed, first-authored publications in original research or significant clinical applications of basic science, excluding case reports and reviews.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching with potential for exceptional teaching performance.
  • Proven clinical or service skills and a track record of securing initial funding for research initiatives.
