Horizontal Construction Engineer

As a Horizontal Construction Engineer in the Army National Guard, you'll play a crucial role in preparing construction sites for various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, roadgraders, and cranes to clear and prepare the site for construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze site information and place grade stakes
- Cut and spread fill material with a scraper
- Level earth for runways and roadbeds
- Clear, excavate, and dig areas of construction sites
- Transport heavy construction equipment with a tractor-trailer
- Move heavy building materials with cranes
- Maintenance and repair of equipment
- Identification of soil types and placement of grade stakes
