We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As an Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with our design team and be responsible for reviewing calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications for building construction and site infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze electrical systems and designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement electrical system designs and solutions
- Perform construction inspections and participate in production meetings to ensure project deliverables are met
- Develop and review construction cost estimates and perform evaluations to ensure project feasibility
- Interface with facility sponsors, architect & engineering firms, and contractors to ensure project success
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or SRE qualified and 6 years of experience
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Prior experience in the consulting engineering field
- Familiarity with Codes (National Electrical Code and New York State Building Code)
