About the Job

Vern Eide Acura is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and ensure safety and emissions standards compliance.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Adhere to manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair is a plus.
  • Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and an acceptable safe driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

What We Offer

  • No Saturdays Hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
  • $52,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications.
