Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Advocate Health. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate and complete information.
  • Collect patient responsibility and verify insurance benefits.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advocate to coordinate patient financial resources and responsibilities.
  • Monitor patient flow and ensure timely and courteous care.
  • Schedule patient visits and assist with new caregiver onboarding.
  • Work assigned EPIC work queues and maintain knowledge of insurance requirements and policies.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in customer service or clerical/office experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and understand issues and problems.
  • Mathematical aptitude, effective communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and speak effectively to customers or employees.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, squat, and bend frequently, as well as twist, rotate, and kneel occasionally. Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance and have functional speech and hearing.
