Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Technical Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting end-to-end solutions across cloud-based solutions and distributed platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing large, distributed Java-based applications and microservices. They will be able to envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements and define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize it.

The Java Technical Architect will be responsible for implementing the core and complex user stories and components of the platform, architecting and solving complex problems related to high-performant distributed systems, and providing direction, guidance, and definition of IT Platform architecture to effectively support clients' IT and business strategy.

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in software design, design patterns, including OO, functional design, and performance scaling. They will also have hands-on experience in Java/Spring Boot, microservices development, and cloud/opensource and Bigdata technologies, including AWS, Java/J2EE, Spring, Data Bricks, Kafka, WebServices, Microservices, MySQL, Dockers, and Kubernetes.

We are looking for a strong leader who can provide technology consultation, assist in defining scope and sizing of work, implement solutions, create technology differentiation, and leverage partner technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing high-level and low-level documents, be aware of the latest technologies and trends, and have logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for resolving technical, substantive, and methodological issues related to design architecture for new or emerging solutions and technologies
  • Responsible for applying application/software/systems development methodologies, including agile framework
  • Solid foundation in software design, design patterns, including OO, functional design, and performance scaling
  • Hands-on experience in Java/Spring Boot, microservices development, and cloud/opensource and Bigdata technologies
  • Experience in designing high-level and low-level documents
  • Awareness of the latest technologies and trends
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate
Requirements
  • 10+ years of full lifecycle development experience
  • 5+ years of experience using cloud/opensource and Bigdata technologies
  • 5+ years of experience leading solutions architecture for data-intensive and high-throughput platforms and applications
  • Experience in microservices architecture, system design
  • Relational and PostgreSQL database experience
  • Experience in Docker containerization, Kubernetes, cloud, and virtualized systems
  • Implementation of AWS architecture concepts
  • Knowledge of architectural design patterns, performance tuning, database, and functional designs
  • Hands-on experience in Service-Oriented Architecture
