Project Director

Koester Construction is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning to implementation to closeout. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of construction engineering experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in construction means, methods, and techniques.

The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources for assigned projects, interfacing with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients. They will also negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to manage costs, maintain high standards of workmanship, and lead dynamic and effective meetings.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation to closeout
• Allocate resources for assigned projects
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to manage costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Lead dynamic and effective meetings
• Dedicate time to training, mentoring, and team development
• Oversee and assist a team of project engineers conducting:
  • Bid solicitation, follow up, and management
  • Takeoff and estimating
  • Subcontract and purchase order writing
  • Submittal solicitation and approval
  • Preparation and processing of change orders
  • Punchlist, closeout, and warranty follow up
