Job Summary
As a Medical Support Specialist at MidMichigan Health, you will work under supervision to learn and assist with patient care and documentation. Your responsibilities will include coordinating care, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also provide patient education, perform general office duties, and maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in Apprenticeship requirements while maintaining adequate performance for all coursework and practicum sessions.
Perform patient assessment, pre-examination procedures, and medication reconciliation.
Prepare and clean patient area, set up equipment, and facilitate room set up after a procedure.
May perform general office duties, filing insurance forms, and ordering supplies.

Certifications and Licensures
BLS - Basic Life Support Required
MA CERT - Medical Assistant Preferred

Required Education
High School Diploma or GED

Other Information
Excellent interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups.
Knowledge of medical office policies and procedures as normally acquired through working in the health care system.
Exposure to stressful situations and ability to wear personal protective equipment.
