The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Medication Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications, providing daily living assistance, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
  • Provide daily living assistance, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, and provide water and supplements as needed
  • Document resident care, medication administration, and other relevant information
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum age of 18 preferred
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required in some states
  • Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course required
