Job Summary

Levy is seeking a skilled Beverage Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our bar team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Set up assigned bars, requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Take and/or process orders for drinks, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes, practicing prudent portion control.
  • Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
  • Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits, and cash drops, securing the bank.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards, keeping the work area clean and organized.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Wash and sterilize stemware.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
