Imaging Specialist

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Imaging Specialist - MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality images.

• Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
• Operate MRI equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
• Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
• Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory management and staff scheduling
• Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of patients, including respect for privacy and effective communication

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience required
• ARRT registered or unlimited state license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required

• Clinical MRI experience preferred
• Advanced certification in MRI required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry preferred
