Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Sales Agent to join our team. As a Travel Sales Agent, you will be responsible for increasing overall revenue through sales and promotion of products, services, and preferred travel vendors to members and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel and recommend preferred travel vendors to clients in all aspects of international and domestic travel planning.
- Process transactions and perform accounting functions using GDS invoicing and Point of Sale cashiering systems.
- Sell all preferred travel vendors to meet or exceed established goals and quotas.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and provide necessary documents and post-travel communications.
- Proactively upsell and promote AAA Tickets, Travel Store products, and Travel Money products.
- Proactively promote and process AAA Credit Cards.
- Promote, sell, and process AAA memberships, Auto Renewals, and have a thorough understanding of all benefit level features.
- Assist with monthly inventory responsibilities, including ordering, processing, and maintenance of Maps, Travel Store merchandise, Travel Money products, and Attractions.
- Effectively cross-sell and refer members and clients to AAA Insurance and other AAA business lines.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls as outlined in the Payment Acceptance Policy, Anti-Money Laundering program, and PCI Compliance programs.
- Counsel members in the use of AAA Social Media sites, AAA Mobile Applications, AAA Discounts and Rewards Program, Auto Travel Special Coverages programs, and current National and Club promotions.
- Make outbound telephone calls to members and clients to increase awareness of products and services, translating into higher membership renewals and/or increased travel revenue.
- Meet appropriate goals and quotas set forth by management.
- Continues to upgrade technical expertise through training opportunities and provides support to other travel positions.
- Commute to any Service Center or other off-site working location as directed by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum 18 months of Travel or other Travel Industry experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
