Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA Northboro. As a key member of our veterinary department, you will be responsible for leading and supervising our technical staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise the work of veterinary technicians and support staff
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures to improve patient care and client satisfaction
- Assist in the educational development of technicians and their skills
- Participate in the interview process for potential new hires
- Assist in staffing and coverage where needed
- Assist in basic protocol and standard procedure training
- Mentor technicians within the department
- Work with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
- Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff
- Current licensure as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
