Precision Machining Technician

Xactra Technologies, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-precision mechanical components and assemblies for the optical industry.
Estimated Salary Range:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate multi-axis mill turns and vertical/horizontal milling machines to produce precision parts.
- Load fixtures with blank parts or machined parts for specific operations, following job routers.
- Measure part characteristics using precision measuring devices to ensure conformance to specifications, documenting measurements as needed.
- Seek assistance from supervisors if machine failures or measurement issues occur.
- Document production, quality, and scrap counts daily.
- Monitor and maintain coolant or oil levels in machines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- CNC machining experience in turning or milling.
- Prior experience in the optical industry is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T code.
- Familiarity with various measuring tools and materials (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Plastics).
