Position Overview

The Seed Quality Assurance Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our seed products, serving as a vital link between our production processes and customer satisfaction. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Seed Sample Processing: Analyze bulk seed samples to forecast seed sizing and conversion rates.
  • Visual Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of finished seed lots to verify acceptable appearance and quality.
  • Quality Lab Submissions: Prepare and submit samples for laboratory quality analysis.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside warehouse staff to manage carryover seed in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Quality Monitoring: Oversee finished crop quality results and collaborate with management to address any identified issues.
  • Inventory Management: Initiate and manage the "SEED ON HOLD" process within warehouse and inventory systems.
  • Workplace Organization: Ensure a tidy, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • A background in agriculture is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills are required; advanced skills are preferred.
  • A solid understanding of seed production or a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with a positive demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills.
