- Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes, adhering to OT Board and governmental requirements.
- Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Participate in in-services training programs for other staff, enhancing knowledge and skills.
- Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, and treatment changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Instruct patient families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training, preparing them for discharge from therapy services.
- Participate in discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
- Report any problems with department equipment, ensuring it is maintained in good working order.
- Relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
