Coffee Shop Associate

Kings Dominion is seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Starbucks. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide legendary customer service to all guests by acting with a guest-centric attitude and connecting with the guest.
- Operational Excellence: Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed.
- Quality and Consistency: Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Team Collaboration: Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
- Problem-Solving: Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
- Training and Development: Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Team Engagement: Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
- Accountability: Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
- Legendary Guest Service Skills: Possess exceptional guest service skills and a strong ability to connect with customers.
- Availability: Be available to work evening hours Friday and Saturday nights through our Haunt season.
- Operational Knowledge: Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security.
- Communication Skills: Engage with and understand our guests, including discovering and responding to guest needs through clear and pleasant communication.
- Food and Beverage Preparation: Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for guests, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients.
- Adaptability: Be able to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
- Learning Ability: Possess the ability to learn quickly.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Relationship Building: Possess the ability to build relationships with guests and colleagues.
