Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Healthworks, Inc. in the Norristown area. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting Radiologists in conducting nuclear medicine procedures using imaging equipment and radioactive materials to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and dynamic tests, such as radionuclide angiocardiography and coronary artery imaging studies.
- Prepare and administer radioactive agents by adhering to established procedures, including kit preparation and IV injection of agents to ensure accurate diagnostic testing/imaging.
- Set up equipment and position patients to ensure adherence to protocol, cooperation, and optimal results.
- Maintain daily logs of radionuclide doses administered to patients, as well as records of tests performed, diagnosis, and other pertinent information.
- Calibrate and check all applicable equipment, maintain equipment by performing scheduled cleaning/tests, and document results.
- Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection during the imaging process.
- Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager, including those related to quality assurance and/or control.
- Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Program or current validated registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT(R), (CT) preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- CNMT (ARRT or NMTCB).
