Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and parts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel vehicles and equipment, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Inspect, test, and repair diesel trucks, as well as perform repairs and modifications to equipment, including in-field and on-road machinery diagnostics and repairs.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all machine systems, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in equipment repair, preferably in the agricultural or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and parts, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
