Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Telemetry and Med Surg.
- Ability to float to various Med Surg and Tele units.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in reading cardiac strips.
- Experience in a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in Med Surg.
- References rated 4-5 are mandatory.
- Competencies should align with medical-surgical and telemetry patient care standards.
Required Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH
Average Patient Census: 36
Room/Beds: 36
Weekend Coverage: Required every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Scrubs: Royal Blue
Patient DemographicsCare for a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
Critical Skills Required:- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry monitoring (both unit and remote)
- Post Cardiac Angiogram care
- IV Therapy and Phlebotomy Skills
- Medication management including Heparin and Vasoactive drips
- Respiratory care for long-term ventilated patients
Note: RTO must be included in the submission. No RTO is allowed during the initial two weeks of the assignment.
