Job Title: Patient Care Technician - Clinical SupportEstimated Salary: $38,000 - $50,000 per yearIn this role as a Patient Care Technician, you will work in our Outpatient department assisting with patient care and daily activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their hospital stay. This includes transporting patients to different areas of the hospital, assisting with discharge procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this position. Additionally, you must be able to multitask and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have completed a certified Nurse Aide II program and hold current certification. You will also be required to complete annual unit-specific mandatory competencies and attend required meetings and training sessions.
Responsibilities:- Maintain patient safety and security following HIPAA guidelines
- Preserve a culture of safety and adhere to safety and infection control policies
- Utilize computer skills to document patient care and perform secretarial duties
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nurse Aide II listing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
