Electrical Assembler

Siemens Mobility, a leading manufacturer of passenger locomotives and coaches, is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join their team in Sacramento, CA.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for assembling electrical control racks, wire harnesses, and other sub-assemblies for rail vehicles. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $17.00/hr, plus shift premium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble component parts and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and understand assembly drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.
  • Connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Make electrical wire terminations, cut wire to specified lengths, and route, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal points.
  • Safely use hand and power tools and complete work order documentation, quality documents, and accurately clock labor hours.
  • Meet company standards for quality and workmanship, production schedule, quality requirements, and budgeted labor hours with limited supervision.
  • Explain assembly procedures and techniques to fellow workers and follow all safety requirements, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

  • High school education or GED.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and wire lists is a plus.
