Position Title: Civil / Structural Department Manager

Location: Deer Park, Texas

Role Summary:
The Civil / Structural Department Manager is responsible for leading a team of civil engineers and designers, ensuring the successful execution of projects. This role involves reviewing project documentation such as cost reports, time sheets, engineering reports, and schedules to maintain project timelines and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with clients to ensure designs align with their specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinating project activities to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Monitoring project budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of design plans to identify potential flaws and recommending enhancements.
  • Performing civil and structural calculations for a diverse range of industrial and commercial projects.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proficient understanding of industry standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, PIP, etc.).
  • Expertise in civil/structural analysis software, with the ability to interpret results effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of methods and practices in engineering, design, and construction of process and manufacturing projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing teams to achieve project goals.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate company services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to foster virtual team collaboration and cross-divisional relationships.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required.

Licensure:
Possession of Texas Professional Engineering registration, with a willingness to obtain registration in other states as necessary.

Experience:
A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering is required.
