The Boyd Group is seeking a skilled Automotive Body Technician to join their team. As an Auto Body Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by meticulously assessing and repairing vehicles to restore them to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the WOW plan consistently.

  • Plan and prepare cost estimates for customers, utilizing various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.

  • Dent removal and minor body damage repair using fillers when necessary.

  • Realignment of car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.

  • Removal and replacement of damaged vehicle sections with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshield repairs.

  • Interior part replacements as needed.

  • Welding and fitting parts into place, followed by repainting vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.

  • Completion of work orders within labor time guidelines, ensuring accurate execution by inspecting repaired vehicles.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer is mandatory.

Essential Skills

  • The ability to read job orders and work independently.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within the auto body shop environment.

  • A thorough understanding of methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.

  • Proficiency in using tools required for the trade.
