Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Senior Software Developer position directly supports the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, focusing on research and development in various technical areas: guided munitions, including both guided and unguided projectiles, guided missiles, and guided rockets, advanced fire control systems, and methods for closing the fire control loop against threats.

This role supports a hybrid telework model, allowing for up to 40% remote work, with the remainder conducted at the designated customer site.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution in an engineering, scientific, or technical field.


Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant technical experience.

At least four (4) years of specialized experience in computer hardware engineering, software design, coding, and compilation; managing computer or software requirements; integrating computer systems or software; and utilizing systems engineering software tools.

Specialized experience should also demonstrate the ability to engineer complex systems with integrated software and hardware solutions. Familiarity with weapons systems and/or Navy programs, as well as proficiency in HTML, C/C++, Python, MATLAB, Solidworks, Unix, and Linux, is preferred.

Other Requirements:
A DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Technology:
Proficiency with personal computers, printers, copiers, and other standard office equipment.

The following salary range is intended to reflect the company's base pay compensation and may be adjusted at the company's discretion.

USD $110,000
