Job Overview

The Christman Company is seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Manager to lead our Estimating and Project Planning services in the greater Triad region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for strategically managing preconstruction deliverables, developing project strategies, and maintaining a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preconstruction strategies for assigned projects.
  • Provide support to business sales, team sales, and presentations.
  • Manage risk and ensure sound financial deals.
  • Drive cost leadership and oversee estimate preparation.
  • Direct and review the work of Estimating Engineers, Conceptual Estimators, and Senior Estimators.
  • Ensure client satisfaction during preconstruction and attend sales presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to delegate tasks and motivate colleagues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
