About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Development Engineer to join our Research and Development department at Powell Industries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, validation, and technical support of industrial electronic products from concept to full production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute plans for the design, development, and validation of industrial electronic products for use within switchgear environments.
  • Identify and verify alternate electronic components for use within pre-existing product designs.
  • Oversee validation and certification activities associated with the development of industrial electronic hardware.
  • Generate and maintain detailed technical documents as required during the course of product development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver electronic products as required.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Electronic Engineering or related area.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial electronic product development role.
  • Demonstrable time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrable strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable complex analytical and problem-solving ability.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers applied in embedded industrial products.
  • Experience with analogue electronics signal processing.
  • Power supply design and power electronics.
  • Design for EMI/EMC and testing.
  • Hardware and software integration.
