The Department of Microbiology & Immunology is pleased to announce an opening for a Research Scientist position. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

This postdoctoral opportunity is available in the laboratory of Dr. Noula Shembade at the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami. The research will center on the interactions between PDGFRA, oxygen-regulated translation, and KSHV in the context of Kaposi's sarcomagenesis. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD with a robust background in molecular/cellular biology, virology, innate immunity, signal transduction, and cancer animal models. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, the capacity to work autonomously, and experience with knockout mice, nude/SCID mice, or PDX mice, as well as viral infection models, are preferred.
