About the Job
Ryder System is seeking an experienced diesel technician to support our truck fleet in Wilson, North Carolina. As a mobile diesel technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and A/C system checks
- Diagnose and repair complex engine issues, including diesel after-treatment and fuel injection systems
- Road test vehicles to identify cause of complaints and ensure quality of repair work performed
- Maintain accurate records of repair work and communicate with customers regarding estimates and repairs
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient use of resources and high-quality results

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Three years or more relevant work experience, preferably with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty equipment
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
- Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred
