We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Snowboard Instructor to join our team at Southern Management Companies, LLC. As a Snowboard Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience for them, and contributing to the success of our Snowsports team.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction: Teach snowboarding in a professional, student-centered, and outcome-based experience, delivering lessons that our guests find rewarding and inspirational.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Work effectively and cooperatively as part of a teaching team, providing practical, high-value instruction that will enhance snowsports enjoyment and safety.
- Guest Service: Provide knowledgeable, friendly, prompt service to our guests, acknowledging all guests and responding promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Adherence to Policies: Comply with the Rules Guidelines of the Snowsports School as well as the policies set forth in the Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Conference Center Employee Handbook.
- Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old by December 1st of the current season, successfully complete Instructor Training Course offered by the school, and have or be willing to obtain state mandated child abuse and criminal history clearances.
- Skills and Knowledge: Intermediate snowboarding skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and strong teaching skills.
The Snowboard Instructor will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, exposed to extreme cold, wetness, and humidity. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds, as well as pushing and pulling equipment.
