Machining and Fabrication Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Estimator/Inside Sales professional to join our team at Employ-Temps Staffing Services. In this role, you will work with a global leader in cold and hot mill equipment for paper making and rubber processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review drawings/prints, determine materials required with stock size and send RFQ's to suppliers requesting prices.
• Determine any subcontracting requirements and send out for pricing from those vendors.
• Detail the processes required to manufacture each part and allocate hours to each process.
• Call/email customers with questions concerning their request for quotation.
• Send a quote to customers and answer any questions they may have about the quote or other items pertaining to jobs.
• Follow Up with customers on quotes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience estimating the machining and fabrication of steel.
• Requires excellent math skills.
• Ability to read blueprints with weld symbols and dimensional tolerances.
• Can communicate clearly and effectively with customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills with ability to learn a customized ERP system.
