Sprinkler System Inspector

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our fire protection team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, testing, and maintenance/repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State of Department of Health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections and testing of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and document deficiencies found during inspections, and develop plans for corrective action.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fire protection and sprinkler system maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; NICET Level II certification preferred.
- Three years of field experience with Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Sprinkler systems.
- Functional knowledge of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance.
- Excellent customer service skills and good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug, and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes.
