About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Product Configuration team within the Actuarial department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with business and IT teams to create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for the ALIP system related to the configuration of insurance/annuity products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with developers to create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for business systems and/or models essential to the successful completion of operational responsibilities and requiring integration of product design, administrative systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Consult with developers and testers to design and document testing strategies on new and existing products to mitigate future risk and triage defects.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of complex insurance and annuity product features and requirements. Develop product expertise for all lines of business.
  • Assist with training and development of individuals. Peer reviewer of other's work.
  • Participate in key initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Document processes, analysis performed, and business systems built or modified.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in technical discipline, engineering, business, Actuarial science, mathematics, physics, economics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate ability demonstrated in: Knowledge of annuity and Life insurance product features and mechanics and their administration systems; Programming concepts; Knowledge of ACORD standards; Microsoft Excel functionality including Visual Basic for Applications; Data handling and analysis.
  • Understanding of Life and Annuities product rules and business processes.
  • Life and Annuities product development experience with a Policy Administration System; ALIP Product Configuration is preferable.
  • Advocate of Agile practices and culture.
