About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clerk to join our team at BNSF Railway. As a Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the movement of essential products and materials across our vast network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport train crews safely in a BNSF crew van, navigating challenging weather, rough terrain, and remote areas.
  • Perform various clerical and administrative tasks, including station and yard office functions, updating train inventory, and directing train traffic.
  • Stock Clerk duties include ordering, tracking, and managing materials while maintaining accurate inventories.
  • Provide customer service support, including corresponding with customers, addressing waybilling errors, and providing rail car movement updates.
  • Support operational needs by providing waybilling electronically of company material railroad cars when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Able to work in the US without company sponsorship now AND in the future.
  • At least 18 years of age or will be by the anticipated start date.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with H endorsement or ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment.
  • Able to work safely in diverse and extreme weather conditions.
  • Able to meet the typing requirements of 25 wpm.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to visually distinguish colors and discriminate between verbal and non-verbal sounds.
