Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Providence Hospitals. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment, and analyzing data to identify sleep disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies to identify sleep disorders.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for testing, and interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
  • Perform and document testing, monitoring patients throughout the process and intervening as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
  • Analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, score and interpret sleep study results, and prepare reports.
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing, and determine and report needed repairs or replacements.
Requirements
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cert Polysomnographic Tech from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, or Reg Polysomnographic Technologist from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
About the Role

This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, with night shifts from 8:30pm to 6:30am on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment at Providence Park in Novi, MI.
