Job Summary:

The Lead Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for supervising a team of cashiers, providing training, hiring, and monitoring their performance. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train cashiers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient checkout processes
  • Monitor and maintain cash register supply levels, cleanliness standards, and security protocols
  • Assign store sweeps, schedule meal and rest breaks, and oversee the execution of company policies
  • Participate in disciplinary actions, provide input to management, and administer discipline as needed
  • Assist in the selection and training of new cashiers, and maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to operate front-end equipment, register, calculator, and scanner
  • Good mathematical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs. and use both hands to move grocery carts
