Cardiac Sonographer IV

About the Role:

Vidant Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiographer to join our team. As a credentialed medical professional, you will use imaging technology to help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients.

You will operate ultrasound equipment to provide moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and its chambers. Your scope of practice will include procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which you have received education, clinical experience, and completed ARDMS- RDCS and/or RVT or CCI- RCS registration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart and its chambers
• Use imaging technology to help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients
• Perform procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which you have received education, clinical experience, and completed ARDMS- RDCS and/or RVT or CCI- RCS registration

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent (or higher)
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current ARDMS (RDCS or RVT) or CCI (RSC) registration/certification
• 2 years of experience as Cardiac and/or Vascular Sonographer

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a primary shift of day. You will work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:00am - 4:30pm each day. There is no on-call requirement and no weekend work.
