About the Role
This full-time position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in apartment maintenance as a Maintenance Technician II. You will be encouraged to develop your skills further, including the possibility of obtaining HVAC certification through Morguard.
Your Responsibilities
As a vital member of our team, you will help uphold the highest standards for our residential community. Your duties will include:
- Providing assistance to residents by addressing open maintenance requests and performing minor repairs within apartments.
- Collaborating with the Lead Maintenance Technician on routine maintenance and improvement projects.
- Exhibiting a strong work ethic and excellent customer service to enhance resident satisfaction.
- Utilizing your knowledge in appliance repair, painting, plumbing, and landscaping to contribute effectively.
Key Duties Include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of work orders to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Regularly inspecting the property to maintain cleanliness and address any debris or waste.
- Preparing vacant units for new residents by following established guidelines and your expertise.
- Responding to assigned maintenance requests in a timely manner, maintaining clear communication with your Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with special projects or community-wide maintenance tasks as needed.
Compliance and Safety
Above all, you will be responsible for adhering to the company's operational and safety policies, as well as complying with federal, state, and local regulations related to community management and Fair Housing.
