We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clerk II-Field Opns at Estes Express. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of freight and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Answering Calls and Directing Shipments: Respond to a high volume of customer inquiries and direct calls with accuracy, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
- Freight Management: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking and tracing, to ensure prompt delivery and minimize delays.
- Customer Communication: Coordinate with customers to schedule appointments for freight delivery, respond to inquiries, and resolve any billing or service-related issues.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including bills of lading, freight bills, and other relevant records.
- Problem-Solving and Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints, overages, shortages, and damaged freight issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in billing, collections, tracing, and operations is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
