About the RoleAs a Mental Health Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible support during their time with us. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing general and psychiatric nursing care to patients
- Ensuring medical orders are followed and initiating treatment planning
- Acting as a patient advocate at all times
To be considered for this role, you must possess a graduate degree from an accredited program of professional nursing training and hold a current, unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Additionally, you will need to obtain CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment.
Prior experience working in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred, particularly in settings where you have worked with patients dealing with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric issues, and geriatric conditions. Familiarity with patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations is also highly valued.
BenefitsLifepoint Behavioral Health offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. You can expect to earn between $3,415 - $4,542 per month. Our benefits package includes:
