Job Title: Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography studies and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in mammography and possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. You will be required to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
  • Conduct mammography studies and maintain production and quality of mammograms
  • Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, and retake mammograms as required
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in mammography
  • ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • BLS certification
