Job Description

Aspire Nursing and Rehab of Washington is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the facility's physical plant, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents.
  • Inventory and order maintenance supplies, and manage a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Prepare vacant rooms for new residents, and respond promptly to all repair needs.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator to allocate resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Conduct regular rounds to identify areas in need of repair, and check daily for requests for repairs or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond promptly to all requests for repairs or maintenance concerns from residents, family members, and staff.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup for special events, and ensure all systems, including alarm and fire systems, are tested per state, local, and federal guidelines.
  • Secure sub-contractors as needed, oversee their performance, and provide assistance when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience.
  • Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Desire to work with older adults.
  • Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping, commercial appliance repair, multi-meter use, and standard practices.
  • Personal initiative and ability to be supervised.
  • Personal neatness, dependability, honesty, congeniality, and flexibility.
